Kernow Sea creatures

£58.00
sold out

Measuring 60cm x 60cm, can be worn around shoulders, neck and head, hand finished.

It is based on new series of paintings where I have been exploring the dialectics of beauty and brutality, solidity and fluidity, battered rock and beating heart. I imagine place through flesh and costume, through parade and dance, through folk tale, friends and fancy, past and present. At the same time, I want to tell the story of people through the ritual of season, moon and mud, the celebration of tide and landing a big haul. This series explores the reunion of self and the environment it inhabits.
